Responsibilities

• Support the Nurse Manager in administrative duties of the clinical unit.
• Provide leadership through collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
• Participate in organizational and unit-based quality improvement activities.
• Provide input on standards of care to maintain quality patient outcomes.
• Maintain clinical competencies needed for direct patient care.
• Coordinate daily nursing and staffing activities of the Inpatient unit.

• Make work assignments and review and edit work of subordinates.

• Support the Manager in collecting information for accreditation surveys and audits.
• Provide and facilitate competent health care of patients and families in area of practice.
• Ensure adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.
• Develop, implement, and participate in Quality Improvement initiatives.
• Perform quality audits as directed/needed.
