Accountant

Description We are in search of an Accountant to join our team in Covina, California. In this role, you will be tasked with a range of responsibilities, including financial data analysis, account reconciliation, and preparation of monthly accounting reports. This role is integral to our team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information.

Responsibilities:

- Analyze and interpret accounting data to provide financial information to the management team

- Prepare and maintain entries for asset, liability, and capital accounts

- Ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and documents, conducting audits as necessary

- Develop and recommend accounting policies and procedures to improve financial controls

- Generate monthly invoices and manage vendor payments

- Conduct account reconciliations to resolve financial discrepancies

- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements

- Secure financial information by completing database backups and following internal controls

- Provide guidance to accounting clerical staff, coordinating activities and answering questions

- Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements. Requirements - Minimum of three years of experience in an accounting role

- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

- Experience with Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger maintenance, and Journal Entries

- Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

- Proficiency in QuickBooks and SAP software

- Experience with Pivot Table and VLOOKUP functions

- Ability to analyze Financial Statements and prepare Audited Financial Statements

- Experience with Month-end Financial processes, Month-end Journal Entries, and Month-end Reports

- Experience with Monthly Account Reconciliation and Monthly Accruals

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
