Responsibilities

  • Processing confidential and time-sensitive records and/or information such as background checks and becoming a Notary and Collect certified.
  • Assisting in the interview process including scheduling and prepping paperwork for panel members.
  • Serving as Everbridge Liaison.
  • Participating in Threat Assessment Team Meeting (TAT) including scheduling, taking minutes, and completing necessary forms.
  • Performing as Kronos timekeeper.
  • Performing related duties as required.

Qualifications

Required

  • Four years of general clerical experience.
  • Two years of experience in a full range of general clerical duties as an Office Assistant, Interpreter Clerk or its equivalent.

Preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including managing data, composing correspondences, and scheduling meetings/Microsoft Team.
  • Experience with CORE-CT and Kronos for time reporting/attendance and approvals.
  • Experience prioritizing workflow and meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders and working collaboratively with reporting partners and the public using verbal and written communications.
  • Experience supervising, leading, training, and delegating assignments to staff including conducting performance evaluations and addressing disciplinary matters with staff.
  • Experience working with electronic data and electronic record management systems.

PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)

In a state agency this class is accountable for supervising clerical employees involved in general clerical activities.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

Two (2) years of the General Experience must have involved a full range of general clerical duties as an Office Assistant, Interpreter Clerk or its equivalent.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED

College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of two (2) years.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Persons having responsibility for supervising or observing the behavior of inmates or custodial clients will be required to possess a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certification by the time of permanent appointment.
