IT Technician

Our client has a brand-new opportunity for an **IT Technician** to join their team **onsite** at their corporate tech center in Wheeling, IL. The IT tech will be responsible for imaging, break / fix repair of the hardware, and shipping / receiving.

Recent IT graduates are encouraged to apply. This will be a contract position through March 2025 with the possibility of extension. This **Technician** will work the day shift hours of 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

**Imaging:**

+ 70%

+ Properly updating the CMDB with provided information relating to the Role or User the device will be assigned, the asset information, and other pertinent data fields

+ Imaging utilizes SCCM's automation to configure Roles built within SCCM, selecting the appropriate Role will initiate the imaging process once connected to the network

+ Once the image has been deployed, validation of the image and removal of the admin credentials will be required

**Break / Fix Function:**

+ 15%

+ Identification of the failed component and under supervision, submission of the appropriate documentation to the hardware vendor for warranty parts replacement

+ Receive warranty components and replace as parts arrive

**Shipping / Receiving Function:**

+ 15%

+ Checking in / scanning of IT assets

+ Unboxing return assets

+ Boxing IT equipment for shipping

+ Cleaning of IT assets

+ Shipping of IT equipment to users using FedEx

+ Communicating with users regarding shipping and tracking of FedEx deliveries

+ Disposal of out of warranty / Broken IT assets

+ Inventory responsibilities of IT accessories

**$22.00 - $23.95 per hour**
