  • Bills and credits patient medications
  • Stocks inventory in Pharmacy
  • Routinely checks and removes outdated and expired medications
  • Delivers medications to patient care and ancillary areas and picks up new orders as scheduled

  • Maintains the pharmacy in a clean and organized fashion
  • Enters outpatient prescriptions
  • Obtains and records patient drug histories
  • Triages orders, determines priorities, processes orders, and notifies the pharmacist as appropriate

  • Compounding medications as per Minnesota Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations
  • Is responsible for safe and careful handling of chemotherapeutic medications
  • Assists with other duties as assigned but only after appropriate training

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program or a 240 hour employer based Technician training Program or 1,000 hours of Pharmacy experience
  • Current Pharmacy Technician Registration with MN State Board
  • PTCB or ExCPT pharmacy tech certification within 1 year of date of hire, paid for by employee or Current Intern License with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy

Preferred

  • Computer skills
  • Knowledge of Pharmacy computer systems
  • Insurance and Billing Experience

*SUMMARY:*

We are currently seeking a *Pharmacy Tech* to join our CSC Hospital Community Pharmacy team. This position is full-time with benefits, 80 hours per pay period, day/evening shift, and every 3rd weekend.

*$5000 Sign-On Bonus *

A sign-on bonus is available for eligible external candidates. Current employees and former employees (rehired within 12 months) are not eligible. One year work commitment required.
