Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management from an accredited or pre-accredited institution.
  • OR a bachelor's degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
  • Experience in IT-related tasks demonstrating attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

Establish items such as local and wide area communications, including single line phones, multiline phones, and data circuits, range support systems, simulations, and tactical devices Manage items such as network and system configuration and connections using approved database applications (trouble tickets/work orders). Perform analyses of areas such as mission requirements, operational problems, and communications configurations. Review communications to ensure that mission support services are provided. Conduct tasks such as the installation, maintenance, mission operation, testing and troubleshooting of an Information Technology and telecommunications systems and equipment. Determine the extent of malfunctions existing in equipment such as digital and analog to include network, microwave and carrier systems and equipment. Perform operational readiness/acceptance testing of newly installed systems.
