- Performs all levels of preventative maintenance on all processing equipment; identifying and, in most cases, repairing any problems identified during this process.
- Operates most shop equipment and machinery with acceptable precision and accuracy.
- Trains and assists class 4 mechanics.
- Completes reasonable job layouts and ordering of materials necessary to complete the job.
