Route Supervisor - Bronx

Job Description

A waste management client of Insight Global is looking for a Route Supervisor to join their team at their Bronx location. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the efficiencies and safety of 10-15 drivers that have routes with 150-300 stops. You will oversee tickets from the previous shift, ensure your dispatch supervisors and drivers are set up for success, review route sheets, assist with delivery of equipment and accident reports and investigation. This role requires you to be out on the road 90% of the time whether that be communicating with the public, observing your drivers to ensure safety and DOT compliance is being met or accident investigations. You will be provided a company vehicle to perform your job.

This is an overnight position with a start time between 9pm and midnight and working 55 hours a week. You will work every other weekend with an alternating six- and five-day work week.

This is a permanent role with a salary range of $85,000-$92,500 plus eligibility for a yearly bonus and access to company benefits.

Skills and Requirements

-Experience with supervising and coaching drivers or helpers

-Experience working in the transportation industry

-Understanding of DOT laws, rules and regulations

-Strong computer skills and ability to pick up new software easily -waste management industry experience null
