Job Description


The Naval Nuclear Laboratory develops advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology for the safety and reliability of our Navy’s submarine and aircraft fleet. Our company is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team. This individual will perform a variety of duties. Primary duties will include planning and producing the weekly site integrated production schedule which entails tracking, planning, scheduling and identifying and resolving critical path conflicts. This critical document shows all planned corrective and preventative maintenance work to be performed by maintenance operations to the sites critical systems, infrastructure and prototypes.

Actively supporting new and existing projects.
Developing and maintaining schedules, identifying and resolving resource conflicts, and supporting project meetings and deliverables.
Coordinating, supporting, and facilitating project meetings.
Preparing materials for periodic project and program reviews with management and stakeholders.



Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill


Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; orMaster's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Previous experience with planning and scheduling
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Ability to use project management/scheduling software (Tririga - Oracle Primavera P6)
Ability to work effectively with other organizations within directorate and across NNL

Pay Range


$83,600.00 - $130,700.00 annually

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations. For nearly 70 years, the Naval Nuclear Laboratory has developed advanced nuclear propulsion technology, provided technical support, and trained world-class nuclear operators to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets.
