Qualifications

Required

  • Registration with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board required.
  • Must provide proof of application to register with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board and once registration is granted, must be maintained.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience.

Preferred

  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association.
  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
  • Pharmacy technician experience.

+ **Department: Pharmacy Services**

+ **Schedule: Roating shifts, 40hrs/wk, Primarily first shift -6:00 am - 2:30 pm with some second shift -2:00 pm-10:30 pm. All shifts are 8 hours. Every third weekend required.**

**Requirements**

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Registration with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board required. Must provide proof of application to register with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board and once registration is granted, must be maintained.

+ Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association preferred.

+ Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred.

Education:

**Additional Preferences**

**Pharmacy technician experience preferred. Responsibilities include restocking automated dispensing cabinets (e.g. Pyxis), answering phone calls, handling controlled substances, sterile compounding (hazardous and non-hazardous), stocking, some inventory responsibilities, and other tasks as assigned.**
