Staff Accountant

An established consumer goods company, with a strong presence in the Bay Area and stores nationwide, is actively seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join their vibrant team.

Playing a crucial role within the company, this individual will support decision-making through their expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and report development. Their detailed oriented approach will aid in identifying and correcting errors and discrepancies within accounting protocols.

Accounting tasks will include:

• Auditing transactional media across various stores.

• Investigating discrepancies through systematic tracing of transactions.

• Managing monthly closing activities, maintaining balance in journals, accruals, and allocation entries.

• Conducting monthly reconciliation of numerous bank accounts and maintaining balance sheet support schedules.

• Assisting in the development and consolidation process of the budget.

Analyst tasks will include:

• Preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements.

• Collaborating with diverse teams to gather necessary data.

• Developing and maintaining financial reports and dashboards using Cognos and advanced excel software tools.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• 4 to 6 years of accounting experience.

• A bachelor’s degree in economics, Finance, or Accounting.

• Proficiency in the use of accounting software.

• Experience with financial reporting tools and Cognos system. • Intermediate to advanced skill level in Excel.
