The Distribution Center Manager at BYK USA Inc. is responsible for overseeing site and 3PL performance in safety standards, on-time shipping and receiving, and facility management. Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership for establishing and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Manages shift supervisors for performance of duties.
  • Originates/follows/ensures compliance with all warehousing operations.
  • Oversee 3PL partners in other outside warehousing.
  • Responsible for all inventory transactions and movements to an accurate inventory of all goods.
  • Responsible for carrying out the Cycle Counting process.
  • Performs the Warehouse Activity Monitoring function in SAP.
  • Coordinates maintenance and repair of all warehouse equipment and property.
  • Maintains inventory of all shipping/warehousing related items.
  • Responsible for environmental compliance (i.e., spill reporting, cleanup, etc.).
  • Responsible for DOT compliance of shipping documents, package marking.
  • Responsible for DOT compliance BYK truck and trailer fleet and drivers.
  • Responsible for managing receiving functions and documentation.
  • Responsible for the correct markings/labels by the warehouse of all shipments.
  • Must successfully complete appropriate D.O.T. Hazmat training.
  • Participates in emergency response as defined by corporate EH&S.
  • Must successfully complete RCRA training according to job function and the regulations.
  • Area Incident Commander in warehouse emergencies.
  • Complaint resolution, root cause analysis and corrective action in a timely manner

Qualifications

Required

  • 5-10 years work history in a similar chemical warehouse environment as a Supervisor or Manager
  • SAP Experienced in WM
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrate good time management skills
  • Effective leader
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability
  • Strong math aptitude
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage warehouse staff to performance standards- direct and Indirect reports
  • Operate/interface with BYK enterprise resource planning system (SAP)
  • Numerous duties that require the ability to climb ladders, stairs, and use forklift personnel platform (cage)
  • Must be able to wear various respirators including face-sealing types (no beards)
  • Maintain training standards for employees
  • Drive “Zero Incident” mindset on safety topics


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-10 years work history in a similar chemical warehouse environment as a Supervisor or Manager
  • SAP Experienced in WM
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations Management, or Logistics & Supply Chair
  • Demonstrate good time management skills
  • Effective leader
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability
  • Strong math aptitude
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
