Maintenance Technician

American Ring is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician in our manufacturing plant.

Requirements:

• Must have prior experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing facility.
• Electrical knowledge and welding experience required.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Must be effective working independently and in a team setting.

Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, replace, and upgrade all machinery in the plant.
• Maintain comprehensive records of machine maintenance, including preventative measures, repairs and other related activities.
• Manages inventory records for replacement parts and orders supplies and parts as needed.
• Supports supervisors in quickly resolving production machinery to operational status.
• Prioritizes repair work & makes recommendations to engineering regarding machinery.
• Inspects jobs before and after repairs.
• Maintains building.
• Administers safety program, ensuring that machinery is in safe operating condition.
• Troubleshoots and upgrades PLC programs.
• Creates lock-out, tag-out procedures for all equipment.
• Applies electrical, mechanical, machinist and welding skills to repair all non-operational machinery.
• Develop and execute a preventative and predictive maintenance program for all equipment.
• Utilize PC-based systems for managing records.
• Perform assigned Quality System functions.
• Ensuring daily accuracy and productivity is essential for accountability.
• Additional responsibilities include housekeeping and adherence to health and safety standards.

Physical Demands:

• Position is physical and may require standing for an entire shift.
• Repeated bending, lifting, twisting and stretching.
