  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through American Heart Association (AHA) certification.
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) certification.
  • One year of experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Preferred

  • Will consider licensed military RN experience.

Hillcrest Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) has a dedicated team of caregivers that provide the highest quality, family-centered care to ill neonate and extremely low birth weight infants. This unit provides 24-hour neonatology services, evidence-based nursing practice, and advanced respiratory care, such as high-frequency ventilation and inhaled nitric oxide. As an Experienced Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to neonates, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, administering medication and treatments, assessing, and coordinating patients’ discharge plans, and monitoring, recording, and communicating patients’ condition.


A caregiver in this position works Nights, 7:00pm—7:30am.


A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.

  • Current licensure as Registered Nurse (RN)

Physical Requirements:

  • Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.

  • Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.

  • Note: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.
