Responsibilities

  • Perform various administrative and clinical duties under the direction of their assigned direct supervisor.
  • Perform clinical duties as necessary, including measuring and recording vital signs, recording patient interview, history, and chief complaint, preparing patients for examinations, performing routine screening tests, assisting physicians with exams, phlebotomy, and collection of lab specimens, and performing basic lab tests.
  • Assist in maintaining patient logs for lab requests, CT scans, and other treatment orders.
  • Maintain the back office with good flow, including keeping rooms full, assisting with room turnover, accurate and complete room set-up for physician, and ensuring that all patients' medication is updated before physician visit.
  • Set up for in-office surgical procedures.
  • Assist with other administrative projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Medical Assistant Certification or Registration
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to perform well in stressful situations
  • Knowledge in healthcare systems operations such as EMR, Practice Management Solutions
  • Communication skills and customer service oriented

Preferred

  • 6 months experience working within a physician's office
  • Urology experience

** Hours are Monday through Friday. No Weekends**

1. Perform various administrative and clinical duties under the direction of their assigned direct supervisor.

2. Performs the following clinical duties as necessary:

a. Measures and records vital signs

b. Records patient interview, history, and chief complaint

c. Prepares patients for examinations and performs routing screening tests

d. Assists physicians with exams

e. Phlebotomy and collection of other lab specimens

f. Performs basic lab test

3. Assist in maintaining patient logs for the following:

a. Lab requests, CT scans and other treatment orders for the patients

b. Prescription ledger when needed

4. Maintaining the back office with good flow

a. Keeping rooms full

b. Assist with room turnover

c. Accurate and complete room set-up for physician

d. Ensures that all patients medication is updated before physician visit.

5. Set-up for in office Surgical procedures

6. Assist with other administrative projects and tasks as needed.
