The primary responsibility is admission. Other duties include floor call management. The schedule is 7 days on 7 days off 7:00pm-7:00am. New hire will be required to go through the Transition to Practice Critical Care for the Hospitalist training program. This includes six weeks of ICU training with an intensivist. The position will also require critical care related procedures, intubation, central and atrial line placement and USPIV placement. Upon completion of the training, you will receive certificate of completion.

The Hospitalist Staff Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and a member of the care delivery team. The Hospitalist Staff APP is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care. The Hospitalist Staff APP has responsibility, authority and accountability for the provision of care through supervision by and collaboration with a physician. The Hospitalist Staff APP manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication and collaboration with all team members. The role of the Hospitalist Staff APP encompasses the beginnings of leadership, partnership, collaboration and supervision. The Hospitalist Staff APP establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. The Hospitalist Staff APP begins to demonstrate a commitment to the community and to their healthcare profession. The successful candidate will be placed according to years and months of experience for employment purposes.
