The Product Design Lead at OpenGov will manage design, vision, and direction across the entire organization, including executive leadership. Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years of UX/UI design experience
  • 2+ years of design leadership experience managing a team of designers
  • Comprehensive understanding of how to apply modern design principles and design systems into practice in the context of a rapidly growing product suite
  • Demonstrated experience designing complex workflows and interfaces for desktop or mobile products
  • A portfolio that highlights past work and your teams’ design decisions
  • History of inspiring and building a cohesive vision
  • Demonstrated ability to lead long-term research-driven strategic projects while ensuring day-to-day design deliverables are timely and well tested
  • A keen understanding of how to implement and use design systems and UI patterns to scale and simplify design execution
  • A passion for making government processes more effective
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
