Responsibilities
- Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment and troubleshoot/repair Trailers, Restraint Devices, Dock leveling ramps, Dock Doors.
- Read and interpret blueprints and equipment manuals.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and correct them by checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
- Work directly with production associates and management to problem-solve and correct production issues for maximum production efficiencies.
- Observe mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
- Investigate electrical and mechanical equipment failures and develop action plans to eliminate repetitive failures.
- Initiate purchase order for parts and machines and create and document hours worked on applicable work orders using the M-pulse Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Perform sheet metal work and employ basic shop floor skills (lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools).
- Install, move, and relocate machinery/equipment according to blueprints and other drawings.
- Adhere to all safety and environmental policies, procedures, and compliance programs.
- Work toward achieving an injury-free environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
- 1+ year maintenance and repair in a warehouse environment
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
Preferred
- Associate degree in Electrical Mechanical Diagnostics, Service and/or Repair
- 2+ years experience of electrical- mechanical- and hydraulic equipment (control panels, PLC's, conveyor shaft, motor and bearing replacement, etc.) in a warehouse environment

+ Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions- percentages- area- circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
