Project Engineer

**Description**

**_*REMOTE POSITION WITH TRAVEL REQUIRED*_**

**What You'll Do:**

· Lead substation P&C projects, collaborating with internal multidiscipline teams, from full scope estimating and proposals, through detailed design and equipment procurement, to commissioning support and construction support for energization

· Review and produce P&C design drawings, including Relaying/Functional One-Lines, three-lines, AC/DC Schematics, Panel Views, BOM, Wiring Diagrams, and Station Communication & Alarm Diagrams

· Review and perform studies and calculations to properly design substation P&C schemes, including battery bank sizing calculations, wire/cable ampacity, as well as AC & DC load centers

· Perform detailed quality reviews (QA/QC) in accordance with established quality procedures as required on projects and assist in the development of additional engineers/designers within the team

**Required Qualifications:**

· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent

· Professional Engineer licensure or EIT certification with plans to obtain PE license within 1 year.

· 4+ years of substation P&C engineering experience related to electrical power substation design for Coops, Municipalities, and/or IOUs.

· Experience with Bluebeam is preferred.

· Knowledge of IEEE standards as related to P&C design

· Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% when needed within the continental U.S.
