The Sourcing and Pricing Manager at MedAire is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives, managing daily purchasing activities, and developing new sourcing and purchasing strategies.   • Focus on strategic sourcing of medical products such as pharmaceuticals, medical consumables/devices, and medical equipment.
  • Introduce and manage alternative sourcing methodologies for MedSupply International.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies.
  • Manage the RFQ process.
  • Manage daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
  • Manage supplier relations and negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
  • Collaborate with various business units including Quality Assurance, Operations Finance, Pricing, Product Marketing, and Sales.
  • Responsible for talent acquisition, development, disciplinary actions, and performance review of buyers/planners.
  • Set objectives for staff that support production, purchasing, and inventory KPIs.
  • Propose and implement new ways of conducting business more effectively.
  • Work closely with the Sourcing and Pricing Director on global supplier contracts.

Qualifications

Required

  • Solid understanding of strategic sourcing business practices with strong negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare tender business.
  • Technical knowledge of medical products.
  • Knowledge of inventory processes, BOM set, and MRP logic.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills.
  • Previous experience with global sourcing and contract negotiations.
  • Previous experience in managing personnel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.

Preferred

  • Experience in strategic sourcing including driving successful implementation of strategies.
  • Work exposure in an international environment.
  • Strong IT skills and experience with MS Office suite, SharePoint, and any other Sourcing/ERP/Procurement environment.
  • TEAMs project management experience.
  • Ability to work in a multi-lingual, multi-cultural environment.

Responsible for the development and implementation of sourcing initiatives. Manage the daily purchasing activities, supervise staff, and allocate tasks. Develop and implement new sourcing and purchasing strategies. Responsible for timely and accurate RFQ process.


Key Responsibilities


  • Responsible for the development and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives for MedSupply International from stakeholder needs analysis to supplier management.
  • This role will have a particular focus on, but not limited to, medical products, e.g., Pharmaceuticals, Medical Consumables/Devices, and Medical Equipment.
  • Help introduce and manage alternative sourcing methodologies for MedSupply International.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate RFQ process.
  • Manage daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
  • Manage supplier relations and negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
  • This role requires partnership and collaboration with other business units, Quality Assurance, Operations Finance, Pricing, Product Marketing, and Sales functions across a varied cross-matrix organization to win new business or retain existing business.
  • Responsible for talent acquisition, development, disciplinary actions, and performance review of buyers/planners.
  • Set objectives for staff that support production, purchasing, and inventory KPIs.
  • Propose and implement new ways of conducting business more effectively, inclusive but not limited to new reporting development.
  • Work closely with the Sourcing and Pricing Director to negotiate global supplier contracts when applicable.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Required Work Experience


  • Successful track record of strategic sourcing to support business growth and product development, preferably in a global or regional environment with a minimum of 5 years, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • Ideally, background in medical equipment, device, or pharmaceutical sectors; past exposure to contract negotiation and drafting to support global Sourcing agenda.
  • Experience in strategic sourcing including driving successful implementation of strategies as well as providing tactical-level support.
  • Work exposure in an international environment: successful track record in working across cultures.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field required.
