Full Job Description

I am recruiting for a Senior Electrical Estimator to join an established Commercial Electrical Contractor, based in Burleson.


My client currently works on commercial ground up and remodel projects, valued between $100k - $8m, across the Metroplex. A lot of their work is design-build.


They do commercial ground up, remodels and also have a service department.


They work predominantly on k-12 buildings, municipal buildings and office space.



Job summary:


The Senior Electrical Estimator will be responsible for creating accurate and profitable bid proposals for a variety of commercial projects. In this position you will reviews proposal specifications, drawings, attends pre-bid meetings, and reviews bids together with other estimators, to ensure accuracy.


  • The Senior Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing, coordinating, and overseeing the preparation of conceptual and detailed estimates for various complex projects.
  • Responsible for understanding how to lead and manage an estimating team on preconstruction budgets up to $10M in electrical budget.
  • Ability to prepare conceptual cost model estimates from limited information using local historic cost information.
  • Understands the fundamental concepts of engineering drawings.
  • Ability to effectively perform material take offs.
  • Ability to travel to support both project and corporate needs.
  • Develops the estimate plan and coordinates estimate development with the project team.
  • Prepares Work Package Estimate breakdowns in conjunction with the project team.
  • Leads the development of the total project estimate; detailed and/or conceptual.
  • Reviews subcontractor and vendor bid packages.



Package:


  • Salary - $130k - $160k, DOE.
  • Annual bonus, tends to be $20k +
  • 2-3 weeks PTO straight away.
