The Database Administrator at Orlando Ballet is responsible for overseeing all facets of database management, revenue management, and consumer data. Responsibilities

  • Oversee all database administration, organizationally wide for all departments including Tessitura, Prospect2 integration, NSCAN, and other platforms as needed
  • Act as Orlando Ballet liaison for Dr. Phillips Center Consortium
  • Create and maintain organization-wide standards within Tessitura
  • Develop and document best practices for Tessitura, customer service, and business relations
  • Research, plan, implement, and troubleshoot Tessitura upgrades and product updates
  • Communicate with Tessitura Support and Extended Services for problem-solving and consultation
  • Maintain current knowledge of security practices and PCI compliance
  • Create and maintain data analytics dashboards
  • Oversee product functionality within Tessitura e-commerce site (TNEW) for ticketing and donation products
  • Provide Tessitura resources to staff to guide organizational business systems
  • Oversee the updates, changes, and annual builds in the database for Community Enrichment, Orlando Ballet School and Development
  • Oversee all aspects of ticketing builds, including subscription management and event setup
  • Maintain and create effective reporting tools through canned reports, custom reports, and data analytics dashboards
  • Assist with audience data analysis
  • Ensure accuracy in daily reporting and reconciliation documents
  • Create, implement, and report on feedback and survey initiatives
  • Collaborate to establish and activate best practices for audience segmentation and forecasting
  • Execute revenue and inventory management strategy through dynamic pricing and forecasting

Qualifications

Required

  • Proficiency in ticketing software (e.g. Tessitura)
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging trends
  • Proven experience in database and CRM management, audience services, revenue management, consumer insights, or marketing
  • Analytical and consumer research skills
  • Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration, Business Management, or related field
  • Bonus technical skills: Citrix Xenapp, basic T-SQL, and Ringcentral

LOCATION: This is an onsite job placement at Harriett’s Orlando Ballet Centre, 600 N. Lake Formosa Drive, Orlando, FL 32803

POSITION DATE: September 6, 2024

POSITION STATUS: Full-Time, salaried, exempt

SALARY RANGE: $65,000 - $75,000

BENEFITS: All standard in coordination with employee handbook policies


Basic Purpose and Objective of the Role:

The Database Administrator is responsible for overseeing, organizationally wide, all facets of database management, revenue management, and consumer data. Orlando Ballet (OB) is seeking a driven, self-motivated, and highly organized individual with the ability to manage and analyze data, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting OB in its mission to entertain, educate and enrich through the highest quality of dance.


Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Database Management

  • Oversee all database administration, organizationally wide for all departments (Ticketing, Development, School, etc.) including but not limited to Tessitura, Prospect2 integration, NSCAN, and other platforms as needed
  • Acts as Orlando Ballet liaison for Dr. Phillips Center Consortium
  • Create and maintain organization-wide standards within Tessitura
  • Develop and document best practices for Tessitura, customer service, and business relations
  • Research, plan, implement, and troubleshoot Tessitura upgrades and product updates in collaboration with primary users of the system
  • Communicate with Tessitura Support and Extended Services to facilitate problem-solving and consultation on system issues and advancements
  • Maintain current knowledge of security practices and PCI compliance
  • Create and maintain data analytics dashboards
  • Oversee product functionality within Tessitura e-commerce site (TNEW) for all ticketing and donation products
  • Provides Tessitura resources to staff to help guide organizational business systems

Revenue Management & Consumer Insights

  • Maintain and create effective reporting tools through the use of canned reports, custom reports, and data analytics dashboards
  • Assist with audience data analysis that informs decisions organizationally-wide
  • Ensure accuracy in daily reporting and reconciliation documents
  • Create, implement, and report on feedback and survey initiatives
  • Collaborate to establish and activate best practices for audience segmentation, tracking key performance indicators, year-over-year comparisons, and forecasting
  • Execute the revenue and inventory management process through a dynamic pricing strategy, revenue projections, and forecasting across all organizationally wide revenue sources


Audience & Ticketing Services

  • Set strategic objectives for customer satisfaction and service, implementing plans to achieve them effectively within established policies
  • Act as liaison between the Ballet and the venue regarding customer service and in-venue needs from the box office
  • Process single ticket sales, subscription sales, donations, and complimentary tickets as needed


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in ticketing software (e.g. Tessitura) and familiarity with industry best practices and emerging trends
  • Proven experience within database and CRM management, audience services, revenue management, consumer insights, or marketing, preferably in the arts or entertainment industry
  • Analytical, and consumer research skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration, Business Management, or related field (preferred)
