Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present payroll-related insights and reports to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage and mentor the payroll team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and global teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes for a multi-state organization
  • Strong organizational and project management skills and ability to deliver quickly with accuracy.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and process to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate across People Ops, Finance, Accounting, Legal, and more
  • Prior experience to thrive in a fast-paced, hyper-growth organization

AppLovin is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Manager to lead and manage global payroll operations across multiple countries. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, while maintaining strict compliance with local, regional, and global regulations. Working closely with Finance, HR, and Legal teams, you will develop and implement efficient payroll strategies that align with the company's objectives. You will also manage relationships with external vendors to ensure smooth payroll execution and ongoing process improvements.

Key responsibilities include overseeing payroll tax filings, audits, and reporting, as well as enhancing payroll systems and procedures to drive efficiency. You will play a critical role in ensuring seamless payroll operations across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in global payroll management, a deep understanding of multi-jurisdictional compliance, and proficiency with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP Workforce Now, and ADP Celergo.

USA Base Pay Range: CA, NY, WA States

$161,000-$241,000 USD

USA Base Pay Range: all other States (excludes CA, NY, WA)

$133,000-$199,000 USD
