  • Responsible for operational decisions on shipments/transactions
  • Manages, updates and communicates new initiatives/requirements with team.
  • Conduct quarterly One to One's for direct reports and ensure completion for all Branch staff.
  • Ensure that concerns raised by the team are addressed appropriately by reaching out to Branch Manager and/or HR as needed.
  • Mentor, Identify and coordinate training needs of the team.
  • Manage high priority accounts as needed.
  • Implement and manage procedures for KPI management using the available tools and reports.
  • Responsible for interviewing new hires, implements disciplinary measures as needed, informs Human Resources (HR) of any escalating incidents.
  • Ensuring that policies and procedures set forth by the company are followed.
  • Responsible for supporting the development and engagement of all staff.
  • Responsible for problem resolution and conflicts for customers, vendors, and staff.
  • Ability to quote all modes of transport to clients.
  • Build relationships with existing clients and seek further business opportunities with new ones.
  • Understand the operations behind all modes of transport.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Successful completion of high school, or equivalent, plus additional job-related coursework or specialized training required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and Cargo Wise software(s) programs or similar.
  • Minimum 5-8 years' experience in shipments and operations.
  • 5+ Years staff management
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
