Packaging Engineer Intern

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. What does that mean? Well, we pump peanut butter into your jar, and the oil in your car. We glue the soles of your shoes, the glass in your windows and the screen on your phone. Develop cost effective packaging solutions by applying coursework to real-world applications as a Packaging Engineer Intern. Position involves providing ideas, inputs and analysis as a project team member.

What You Will Do at Graco

• Provide general production support for machining and/or assembly areas by participating in hands-on troubleshooting issues and providing technical assistance
• Troubleshoot shipping damage claims to determine how to resolve issues.
• Consolidate and document WIP packaging used within manufacturing.
• Assist in the designing of and implementation of packaging solutions:
• Research and suggest ideas for ways to improve packaging for existing products while working with cross functional engineering teams.
• Create packaging specifications using AutoCAD.
• Load and update specifications within manufacturing database.
• Load and maintain packaging components within manufacturing BOM's.

What You Will Bring to Graco

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as an effective team member
• Mechanical aptitude and desire for hands on work

Accelerators

• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD
