The Software Integration Engineer IV at Wyetech is responsible for integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment. This role involves automation, integration, verification, validation, and system testing of various COTS, FOSS, and GOTS packages, libraries, and software products for next-generation HPCs and SPDs. The position requires a high level of expertise in software integration, Linux system administration, and shell scripting, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software.
  • Generate documentation for the full software stack.
  • Update software for sustainment support.
  • Execute test codes for characterization of software performance.
  • Provide software product ownership for HPC tools.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and switch between various architectural paradigms.
  • Develop software tool plugins in the language in which the tools are written.
  • Determine the optimal or best available HPC configuration for customer needs.

Qualifications

Required

  • TS/SCI with Agency Appropriate Polygraph
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and at least ten years of experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.
  • OR five years full time Computer Science directly related work and at least ten years of experience.
  • OR an industry recognized professional certification as defined in the TT0s, substituting as one year experience.
  • OR a Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field, substituting for two years' experience.
  • Proficient using the Linux CLI and tools
  • Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python to automate processes
  • Experience authoring documentation for reporting integration results to relevant stakeholders
  • Experience with coordinating, setup, and resolution of deployment activities in designated environments
  • General HPC technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage components
  • Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) concepts, principles and automation technologies including Ansible
  • Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI, and Jenkins for automating software integration, testing, and deployment pipelines
  • Experience with branching, merging, and managing code repositories using Git Source Control System

Preferred

  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools including Jira and Confluence
  • Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack, Grafana) to detect, troubleshoot, and resolve issues

Provides expertise in integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.

The Software Integration Engineer shall be responsible for the automation, integration, verification, validation, and system testing of various COTS, FOSS, and GOTS packages, libraries and software products for the next-generation HPCs and SPDs.

Capabilities
    • Ability to integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software.

    • Working knowledge of CM tools, web documentation, and issue tracking.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and switch between various architectural paradigms.
    • Develop software tool plugins in the language in which the tools are written.
    • Determine the optimal, or best available, HPC configuration for customer needs.

Required Qualifications
    • TS/SCI with Agency Appropriate Polygraph

    • OR
    • The individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least ten (10) years of demonstrable experience.

    • OR
    • An industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TT0s, may substitute as one (1) year experience.

    • OR
    • A Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field may substitute for two (2) years' experience.
