The System Performance Engineer III is responsible for optimizing LTE and 5G networks by collecting and using hourly and daily service measurement data.   • Representing the team for feature related projects, new node integration, and other centralized tasks by meeting deliverables and holding other parties accountable per project plan.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and performance problems independently or by coordinating with other teams.
  • Supporting Network Performance in evaluating and improving areas of poor coverage by identifying system performance problems.
  • Reporting issues to appropriate engineers.
  • Resolving customer service issues, assisting in implementing solutions, and collecting drive test data in support of performance evaluations and build program prioritization.

Qualifications

Required

  • Expertise with NR and LTE technology, including VoLTE and RAN network performance.
  • Knowledge of Ericsson systems including ENM and RAN equipment.
  • Experience with performance reporting tools and methodologies with the purpose of identifying customer impacting issues, and optimizing cellular network performance.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or scripting tools.
  • Experience with tools such as RTT, DMAT, TrueCall, Airwave.
  • Knowledge of Samsung systems, including USM and RAN equipment.
  • Data analytics experience, using tools like Tableau.
  • Experience with Root Metrics data collection and reporting.
