Responsibilities

  • Reviews, processes, and maintains a variety of complex employee data transactions in Sutter's human capital management (HCM) system.
  • Ensures compliance with Sutter HR, payroll, entity-specific policies, and union-specific contracts.
  • Effectively communicates with a broad range of customers to ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Utilizes prior experiences in Human Resource as well as HCM systems to review, validate and process licensure and certifications requirements.
  • Coordinates with Office of the General Counsel to respond to subpoenas.
  • Executes unemployment claim requests.
  • Indexing of employee documents in Sutter's electronic personnel record (ePR) system.

Qualifications

Required

  • HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • 2 years recent relevant experience as an HR Generalist/Coordinator
  • Technical Skills: Workday, Hyland, Salesforce, or similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Excel (Intermediate Level including of pivot tables, creating/utilizing formulas)
  • Ability to read, comprehend, interpret, and apply HR policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills with the ability to recognize issues or questionable information/data, and to determine solution or next steps.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork and the ability to work independently by utilizing Job Aides and Desktop Procedures to complete responsibilities timely and accurately.
  • Organization skills and attention to details.
  • Displays a customer service focus in all decisions and actions.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and to process a high volume of requests/documents accurately and timely.
  • Ability to communicate through verbal and written means, and to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to interact and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties.
  • Demonstrates respect for cultural and linguistic differences and promotes an inclusive work environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with set timelines and changing business priorities.
  • Ability to maintain and work discreetly with confidential information.
