- Collaborate with the Director of Fleet to manage maintenance budgets.
- Maintain a satisfactory level of commonly used parts and conduct quarterly inventory reviews.
- Liaise with external vendors for parts procurement and core and unused parts returns.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with industry standards, company policies, and DOT regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement using Fleetio analytics.
- Generate reports using Fleetio data to analyze key performance indicators.
Qualifications
Required
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Shop Manager, preferably in a fleet management environment
- Proficiency in using Fleetio software for fleet maintenance management
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of vehicle maintenance processes and industry best practices
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Budget management experience
Full Job Description
The Erosion Company (TEC) is currently hiring a Mechanic for our Cartersville, GA, location. The successful candidate will maintain diesel truck and equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments; keeping records.
TEC is the largest and most experienced erosion control contractor in the Southeast, and we are currently growing. TEC offers comprehensive erosion control, specialty materials, forestry, and other site clean-up/control services to a wide variety of clients.
The Maintenance Manager will oversee the efficient operation of our fleet maintenance facility. As the manager,
you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all maintenance activities, ensuring all vehicles and
equipment are compliant with TEC and DOT regulations, and seeing to the timely and cost-effective upkeep of our
diverse fleet. The Maintenance Shop Lead and Mechanics are direct reports of the Maintenance Manager.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of skilled technicians, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective
repairs on all vehicles and equipment within the fleet.
