Responsibilities

  • Develop, build, containerize, and test cloud capabilities
  • Aid in development and defining API specifications for high performance, scalability, and availability
  • Code, debug, test and support utilities, tools, and frameworks to support cloud application development process
  • Develop and maintain code for cloud applications and services using modern coding requirements (Git, GitOps)
  • Perform continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
  • Ensure that cloud solutions adhere to best practices for security and compliance following Federal, DoD, IC, DAF, and/or USSF guidelines and directives
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud applications and infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability
  • Gather cloud requirements and deliver solutions that meet mission and business needs
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud applications and infrastructure
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud solutions, including architecture diagrams, code comments, and operational procedures
  • Document test cases, expected test results, test data requirements, and collaborate with testing teams and business partners to resolve testing problems
  • Configure build pipelines, perform static and dynamic security analysis, and store build artifacts including container images and deployment scripts in artifact repositories

Qualifications

Required

  • Top Secret clearance with SCI adjudication
  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience; Master's degree with 0 years' experience; OR a high school diploma/equivalent with 6 years of relevant experience
  • 1-5 years of experience in developing full-stack applications
  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud Services (IAM, EC2, VPC, ECR)
  • Experience performing CI/CD and using applications like GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, or Nexus 3
  • Experience building OCI compliant container image formats and interoperability among different runtimes (e.g. Docker, CRI-O)
  • Experience working on deployment environments including virtual machines
  • Experience working with cloud environments like AWS and/or Azure
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, responsible team player able to work independently with minimal daily direction; effective/efficient written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work and interact with technically and organizationally diverse personnel

Preferred

  • Experience installing and configuring container orchestration platforms (e.g. Kubernetes, Rancher, OpenShift)
  • Obtained AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or other cloud provider equivalent certification
  • Experience working/developing in multi-domain, multi-cloud, hybrid-cloud environments
  • Experience deploying applications on SIPRNet and JWICS
  • Experience testing code/applications using current best practices and tools
  • Obtained AWS Certified Developer Associate, DevOps Engineer or other cloud provider equivalent certification

Candidates must be technically proficient and have real-word experience devising practical and sustainable solutions.

**Salary Range:** $79,300 - $118,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
