The Radiology Technologist at Cooper University Health Care is responsible for performing various radiology procedures including Portables, E.R., Trauma, Fluoro OR, and General.   • Fulfills compliance with life safety, fire and hazardous waste, Radiation Safety, and Infection Control requirements
  • Maintains Licensure and stays current
  • Participates in departmental training
  • Performs procedures (Portables, E.R., Trauma, Fluoro OR and General) as needed
  • Demonstrates courteous behavior and positive attitude through polite communication
  • Understands and appreciates the need to provide good customer service, both internal and external
  • Maintains work area, reports maintenance issues, monitors supplies and deficiencies, maintains paperwork particular to each department/office
  • Participates in clinical activities (i.e. assists with patient flow/care, helps to optimize throughput of patients via Radiology Ambassador team)
  • Remains compliant of timekeeping rules
  • Attends greater than 80% of staff meetings to stay informed and supports initiatives

Qualifications

Required

  • Patient care and safe handling training required
  • General, Portable, ED, Trauma, Fluoro, pediatrics preferred
  • Graduate of an AMA approved Radiology Technologist Program
  • Registry legible
  • NJ DEP license required upon hire
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • NJDEP license – Radiology Technology certification

Short Description

Participates in clinical activities (i.e. assists with patient flow/care, helps to optimize throughput of patients via Radiology Ambassador team. Remains compliant of timekeeping rules: Avoids early, late and unauthorized entries. Attends greater than 80% of staff meetings to staff informed and supports initiatives.


Experience Required

Patient care and safe handling training required. General, Portable, ED, Trauma, Fluoro, pediatrics preferred.


Education Requirements

Graduate of an AMA approved Radiology Technologist Program and therefore registry legible. NJ DEP license required upon hire.


License/Certification Requirements

ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist)
Current BLS.
