Full Job Description

6 month contract

Mon-Friday 8am-4:30pm and alternate to 9am-5:30pm

Pay: $20.29/hour


Responsibilities:

Assist with the processing of in and outbound shipping, communication with couriers, identify and solving issues.

Supports the day-to-day operations of shipments containing clinical trial supplies and samples.


The “Associate Logistics Coordinator – Shipping Assistant” ensures a high level of support, service, reliability, and availability to internal departments.


Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent required and minimum of two years general logistics experience with clinical trials required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent client and phone service skills

Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and laboratory principal's pre-analytical, analytic, and post-analytic influences on specimens and results Intermediate level of computer literacy

Accurate data entry skills

Superior analytical, interpersonal and time management skills

Excellent verbal communications and customer service skills in the English language - additional languages are an advantage

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support quality decision making

Proven negotiation and problem resolution skills

Maintains confidentiality of client protocols and study data


Additional / Specific Job Responsibilities:

Reports to Team Lead Site Services or above

Packs, prepares paperwork for, and monitors outbound shipments of re-supply orders, Inter Company Transfers, material for other departments (IT, HR...) shipped out of GCL

Responsible for monitoring of temperature-controlled supplies stored at GCL.

Responsible for contacting couriers to follow up and arrange pickups of shipments delivered in error at GCL.

Manages urgent requests for pre-printed AWBs for sites.

Monitors stock and manages re-order process for courier-provided shipping material (packaging, labels, pouches...).

Supports the site services logistics coordinators

Coordinate the review and action required on custom reports
