Job Summary and Qualifications

Manages the daily operations and activities of the GI Endoscopy Unit. Responsible for the management of the department’s daily operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals and objectives established by Director. These responsibilities may include but are not limited to; planning, preparation and oversight of staff schedules; providing inpur into employee decisions related to hiring, performance assessment and disciplinary actions; The GI Endoscopy Manager develps collaborative working relationships with hospital leadershiop, physicians, and staff, boh internal and external to the department and to accomplish these responsibiities in an effectve and efficient manner.The GI Endoscopy Manager oversees and guides the staff to ensure the Department meets JCAHO standards and complies with corporate policy and procedures. The GI Endoscopy Manager is also responsible for managing supplies and equipment in the department, for promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers, for promoting internal and external customer satisfaction and for appropriate resource management.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
• Associates Degree from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Current clinical Endoscopy/GI Nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Minimum 3 years experience as a full time Charge / Coordinator Nurse, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Management
