Responsibilities
- Responsible for all maintenance functions necessary for safe and reliable plant operations.
- Provide personnel coaching and skill development for a proactive, planned maintenance program.
- Propose and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) in accordance with Best Maintenance Practices.
- Facilitate and support the refinement of Maintenance activities to minimize planned and unplanned downtime.
- Ensure the implementation of all repairs/modifications from maintenance notifications are executed on time with high quality workmanship.
- Ensure that the job planning is accurate and effective.
- Guide SME's in the implementation and ownership of IFF Reliability programs.
- Develop personnel training programs and assist in the professional development of team members.
- Evaluate the performance of team members and provide periodic feedback.
- Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and plant partners to ensure customer needs are met.
- Encourage professional, collaborative teamwork between all facility functions.
- Conduct regular inspections of facility to seek out potential problems and solicit operator feedback.
- Assist in the development and tracking of the maintenance and reliability budget.
- Ensures compliance with government regulatory agencies and GMP's.
- Provides project management support for small to medium size maintenance projects.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an industrial or military maintenance leadership position
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Strong electrical skills
- Working knowledge of personnel safety programs
- Ability to interpret P&ID's, facility layout drawings, and equipment drawings
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
Preferred
- Engineering Degree
- 7 years of experience in an industrial or military maintenance leadership position

- Maintenance Supervisor also provides personnel coaching and skill development to sustain a proactive, planned maintenance program.

- Ensure the implementation of all repairs/modifications from maintenance notifications are executed on time with high quality workmanship.
- Ensure that the job planning is accurate and effective.
- Guide SME's in the implementation and ownership of IFF Reliability programs.
- Development of personnel training programs to establish a properly trained team and to assist in the professional development of individual team members.
- Evaluate the performance of team members and provide periodic feedback to ensure development.

- Encourage professional, collaborative teamwork between all facility functions (Production Operations, Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, Quality Management, etc.)
- Conduct regular inspections of facility to seek out potential problems and to solicit operator feedback.
- Assist in the development and tracking of the maintenance and reliability budget.
- Assures compliance with government regulatory agencies.
- Follows all applicable good manufacturing practices (GMP's).
- Ensures proper documentation of planned and unplanned work via computerized maintenance management system (SAP)
- Maintains and uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
- Provides project management support by defining project scopes, project justifications, and budgets for small to medium size maintenance projects.
- Execute project installations, monitoring schedules, budget, and provide regular updates.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma required, Engineering Degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an industrial or military maintenance leadership position; 7 years preferred
- Excellent mechanical aptitude, with the ability to analyze, evaluate, and solve mechanical problems
- Strong electrical skills with the ability to interpret instrument loop diagrams, electrical single line diagrams, and perform basic electrical trouble shooting
- Working knowledge of personnel safety programs including LOTO, fall protection, ladder safety, confined space entry, line and equipment opening, hot work, and NFPA30
- Ability to interpret P&ID's, facility layout drawings, and equipment drawings
- Excellent Interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Excellent follow through, judgment, and common sense. "Make it happen" attitude
- Previous experience managing small to medium sized projects.
