Responsibilities

  • Drives the overall packaging, positioning, and pricing strategy for vehicle inventory
  • Drives development and delivery of marketing plans
  • Leads the overall go to market strategy and collaborate closely with sales enablement to ensure readiness of sales and customer success
  • Collaborate closely with vehicle inventory product management, product marketing and commercialization teams on the creative business judgement in optimizing the lifecycle profitability of the payment offerings
  • Owns the sales messaging strategy to ensure all customer facing partners deliver a common, succinct payments message to help achieve sales plans
  • Owns the messaging for all external facing channels with messaging and tools including Sales and Customer Success teams
  • Vehicle Inventory Expert/Evangelist; ability to present the CDK offerings to external audiences, including major automotive manufacturers, large dealer groups and dealers
  • Development of market Characterization/Targeting and communication of an actionable segmentation and positioning strategy for marketing CDK vehicle inventory solutions
  • Monitor key financial metrics related to the health, growth, and profitability of the offerings

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years' progressive experience in a SaaS B2B environment in automotive inventory Marketing, Product Marketing, Market Analysis or Channel Strategy
  • Must possess an understanding of the automotive dealership industry
  • Proven success in bringing to software solutions to market
  • Ability to showcase knowledge of modern marketing concepts and techniques
  • Proven track record designing and executing effective marketing messaging, content and programs leveraging web, email, and social media, including behavioral metrics
  • Must be able to develop and execute effective B2B product marketing strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives across virtual, cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communications skills, to both internal and external stakeholders, both oral and written, highly skilled in content creation
  • Proven ability to support and define market strategies for multiple sales channels
  • Must be open to 15-30% travel

Full Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Director, this Director, Vehicle Marketing is a senior-level product marketing professional responsible for developing and overseeing the vehicle inventory marketing strategy, owning: positioning, packaging, pricing, messaging, content creation and competitive differentiation for the CDK vehicle inventory offerings. This individual will collaborate with Product Management and other product marketing leaders, to enable the sales & customer success teams in effectively positioning the offerings as a competitive differentiator and revenue growth enabler to both existing and new customers.

The Director, Vehicle Inventory Marketing is responsible for building and executing an effective go-to-market strategy, including market characterization, development of the go-to-market plan, driving and delivering demand generation programs, influencing commercialization, and packaging strategies, enabling sales and customer success with tools and resources, and defining market requirements and business cases for product line investment. This individual is the leading expert in positioning payment offerings and customer value proposition.

Base Salary Range: $180,000 - $220,000

CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location.
