Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years designing and delivering leadership and management programs.

Responsibilities

InnovAge is looking for Director of Learning & Development who will drive and deliver initiatives and strategies that focus on the development of team members, leaders, and executive leadership by focusing on individual and organizational needs. This is a unique leadership opportunity to serve as a thought partner and trusted senior advisor across the business. We're seeking a subject matter expert who will employ evidence-based best practices and research to drive results in a dynamic and evolving landscape. This is a pivotal position at InnovAge, leading the strategic approach, design and deployment of an organization-wide Talent Management processes; this is a hands-on position which blends implementation of strategy with delivery and operational excellence.

The Director of Learning and Development is responsible for managing and supporting the assessment of organizational needs and the design, implementation and day-to-day administration of programs that effectively facilitate the professional development and continuous learning of team members, particularly new and emerging leaders. In addition, the Director of Learning and Development will orchestrate a succession planning strategy designed to identify and develop new, potential leaders who can move into critical leadership roles when they become vacant.

The role will work as a Player/Coach, "rolling up their sleeves" to deliver high-quality employee programs at all levels across the businesses, while also building a team of learning professionals - overseeing their execution on InnovAge's learning plans, training workshops, career development & onboarding programs, and employee surveys, in addition to other ad-hoc projects.

This is a remote position with 10% travel.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Own talent management lifecycle processes - including onboarding, goal setting, competencies, critical skills, career pathing, and development, for new and existing employees (inclusive of individual contributors and people managers)
  • Develop programs focused on coaching and development, to support growth among our leadership population
  • Partner closely with our HR Business Partners to ensure L&D topics are amplified and leveraged
  • Assess individual, team and organizational learning needs, and oversee the development of impactful and scalable learning solutions (programmatic and non-programmatic)
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, senior leaders, and functional leaders to determine organizational gaps, and develop tactical and strategic solutions to drive leader and team member engagement
  • Support the creation of standardized metrics and evaluation processes across all learning and org development programs to ensure a data driven approach when evaluating outcomes
  • Continuously build business and market knowledge and work closely with subject-matter experts (SMEs) to enhance and refine our internal programs
  • Provide leadership, coaching and oversight to L&D team members to scale Learning and Development initiatives across the organization

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 8+ yrs designing and delivering leadership and management programs.
  • 5+ yrs directly managing a team delivering leadership and management programs.
  • Broad understanding of and experience envisioning and designing robust leadership development initiatives under a clear framework using various implementation methodologies.
  • Understanding and experience integrating leadership development programs into a holistic talent management framework, including succession management.
  • Expert facilitation skills and knowledge and experience designing and implementing innovative, premiere leadership development solutions
  • Expert presenter with the ability to influence and educate leaders on leadership development including the purpose of leadership development, the role leaders play in developing other leaders and the activities needed to support effective leadership development, superior oral and written business communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage external and internal resources and a people network to execute quickly, effectively, and consistently in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills; proven research skills to gather data, best practices, and points of view to ensure sound judgment.
  • Confidence interacting with senior-level leaders and influence / persuasion track record to build and gain buy-in for an L&D agenda and curriculum
