Join the Radiology team at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, a 591-bed hospital affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College, where we are dedicated to providing the highest quality, most compassionate care to patients. This role involves the preparation and execution of various radiographic procedures, including prep studies, limited special procedures, portable diagnostic, routine diagnostic procedures, and limited OR procedures. The position offers a per diem schedule, working on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute prep studies
- Perform limited special procedures (Lumbar Punctures/Myelograms)
- Conduct portable diagnostic radiographic exams
- Perform routine diagnostic procedures
- Execute limited OR procedures
- Warmly greet & welcome patients/visitors/staff
- Assist radiologists and other physicians in performing exams when necessary
- Assess patient condition
- Produce good quality radiographic images
- Ensure adherence to safety standards
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- Must obtain at least 24 continuing education credits every 2 years as per ARRT requirements
- N.Y. State Department of Health X-ray License
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification
Preferred
- Associates degree
- Previous experience in general Diagnostic Radiology

- Associates degree
- Previous experience in general Diagnostic Radiology
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate from an accredited program in the school of Radiologic Technology
