Equipment Operator

Our client in the distribution industry is seeking an Equipment Operator to join their team. As an Equipment Operator, you will be part of the warehouse team supporting the accurate and timely shipment and receipt of goods. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, reach trucks, slip sheet attachment, and/or clamper truck or attachment, and be able to consistently lift 35-48lbs and occasionally move up to 100lbs.

Location: Portland, OR

Pay Range: $25.25 per hour

What's the Job?

• Safely operate material handling equipment (MHE) to include forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, reach trucks, slip sheet attachment, and/or clamper truck or attachment.
• Unload trailers of product, verify the load for accuracy and stage for put-away.
• Pull orders from warehouse location and utilize conveyor system for sorting & staging.
• Load semi-trucks & smaller box trucks according to delivery requirements.
• Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) scan guns and tools for the purpose of maintaining proper inventory levels and proper location of goods in the warehouse.

What's Needed?

• 1+ year(s) of consistent experience operating power equipment (forklift, cherry picker, reach truck, etc.)
• 1+ year(s) of warehouse experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Upon conversion to FTE, required to obtain power equipment certification
• Throughout shift, consistently lifting 35-48lbs and occasionally moving (pushing, dragging) up to 100lbs.
