Responsibilities

  • Represent landlords in a wide range of commercial litigation matters, including lease disputes, evictions, breach of contract claims, and other tenant-related litigation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
  • Manage a caseload independently, while working as part of a larger litigation team.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of commercial real estate laws, regulations, and trends impacting landlord-tenant relationships.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop strategies for complex litigation matters.
  • Engage with clients, opposing counsel, and colleagues through superior communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in real estate law and lease enforcement.

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-stakes cases, handle diverse legal issues, and play a key role in shaping the litigation strategy for client’s hand in hand with a very successful group of partners.


The Associate will represent landlords in a wide range of commercial litigation matters, including lease disputes, evictions, breach of contract claims, and other tenant-related litigation. Strong writing skills will be required to draft, review, and negotiate pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.


The Associate must have an inquisitive manner, be self-motivated to collaborate with senior attorneys and clients, anticipating analysis to develop strategies for complex litigation matters. The Associate must manage a caseload independently, while working as part of a larger litigation team, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of commercial real estate laws, regulations, and trends impacting landlord-tenant relationships.


Superior communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, opposing counsel, and colleagues, required. Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills. Proactive experience in commercial litigation, with a focus on landlord-tenant disputes and a proven track record of successfully representing landlords in litigation involving lease enforcement, tenant evictions, and other related matters required. Compensation includes salary (180K-220K+) plus bonus and robust benefits package.
