Responsibilities

• Assume the responsibilities for direct care of assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider in patient care departments.
• Provides nursing services to patient and families in accordance with the LPN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.
• Will assume duties of caring for the elderly population in the Extended Care Wing.
• Pass medications
• Complete wound treatments
• Oversee CNA's
• Interact professionally with providers
• Request orders when necessary and carry them out
• Communicate well with families
• Carry out orders as needed for residents
• Ensure medications received for residents from the Apothecary Shoppe
• Ensure orders are placed in EPIC correctly for outpatient labs and medications
