  • Monitor security controls to support a comprehensive compliance program.
  • Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and guidance on best practices and tools; support the fostering of a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree or additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • 12+ years of experience in the related field.
  • Must be based around the Annapolis Junction, MD area and be available for on-site work.
  • Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
  • Knowledge of common software and tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Jira, VMware, etc.
  • Team player, fast learner with ability to work proactively and independently to support mission critical operations supporting geographically diverse locations.

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Tools SME to join our team. As a DevOps Tools SME, you will be responsible for providing expertise and guidance on DevOps tools, processes, and improvements. Your role will involve evaluating, implementing, and optimizing the tools used for continuous integration, deployment, and automation, ensuring the efficient and streamlined operation of our infrastructure and development.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Serve as a SME on DevOps tools, evaluating and recommending tools that align with the business goals and objectives
• Assess existing process and toolchains, identify areas for improvement, and propose, maintain, and execute solutions to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Azure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practice using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Monitor security controls to support a comprehensive compliance program
• Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes to enable scalable and portable deployments

This position offers a flexible hybrid/telecommute schedule. The onsite and telecommute arrangement is determined by the site team and may change based on government or operational needs. Candidates should reside within a commutable distance and be able to report onsite as required by the government customer.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
