Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant trade school training preferred.
  • Proven experience as a repair technician or similar role, preferably in a machine shop environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various shop conditions (noise, dust, etc.).

Founded in 1981, Muhlbauer, Inc. operates both as a consultant and manufacturer of automation solutions for smart card and label industries, providing their services to private companies and governments. The company's solutions enable users to manufacture various types of chip cards, including ID, contact, and dual interface cards, as well as multimedia cards and smart labels for access control and supply chain management. Muhlbauer's equipment is used to personalize Virginia Driver Licenses as well as licenses in other states in order to protect documents against counterfeiting and alteration.  

Muhlbauer, Inc. seeks to hire a Repair Technician to work in our Machine Shope located in Newport News, VA. The Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of small assembly groups  . Job Duties and Responsibilities:
