VP/Director of Finance

Description

Robert Half is recruiting for a strong VP Finance Consultant for a business division of a large privately held billion dollar Transportation client. The consultant will be knowledgeable of US GAAP, have experience from a large company ( >500M revenue), worked with external auditors (Big 4), and managed accounting staff. A detailed understanding of Leasing and Rental operations including revenue recognition, cost of sales, inventory, lease accounting, salesperson commissions, service contracts, finance and insurance, licensing fees, and accounts receivables.

In addition, the consultant will oversee month-end close preparation including reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations related to the division, ensuring all subledgers and reports match the general ledger, preparing any adjusting journal entries and preparing audit schedules as required by the external auditor. This consulting role can be done Remote.

Soft Skills:

Must be personable with good presentation skills to communicate with all levels of senior management.

Strong Excel skills

Comfortable working with high volume transactions

Requirements

- Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Automotive/ Vehicle industry

- Expertise in Budget Processes, Financial Reporting, Variance Analysis, Month End Close, Lease Accounting, and Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation is required

- Advanced knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and planning

- Excellent leadership and team management skills

- Strong understanding of Automotive industry trends and financial regulations ( Vehicle/ Automotive Leasing / Rental experience is a must have)

- Proficient in using financial software and databases

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required; Master's degree or equivalent certification is preferred

- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders

- Proven experience in managing and leading a finance team in a fast-paced environment.
