  • Ensure accurate calculation and coordination of supplemental pay in line with company's short-term disability policy.
  • Facilitate tracking of unpaid, intermittent FMLA claims, including manager notification and return-to-work process.
  • Oversee the return-to-work process for employees returning from extended leave.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of federal and state regulations related to leave to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and enhance systems and processes for leave-related information to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Handle the confidentiality of employee medical documentation and files with utmost care.
  • Audit internal records of leaves of absence against outsourced disability vendor's records to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of benefit projects, ensuring smooth transitions and effective change management.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar HR Specialist role
  • Expertise in Benefit Functions, Communication, Compliance, Leave Administration, and Leave of Absence
  • Proficient understanding of FMLA, ADA Accommodations, and Workers Comp Law
  • Experience with HRIS reporting and managing HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with employees at all levels
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make decisions based on thorough analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to individuals and groups
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.

We are offering a job opportunity for a HR Specialist in the Real Estate & Property industry based in HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colorado.
