Machine Operator

**Machine Operator | Dekalb, IL**

**1st & 2nd Shift | $19.80 per hour**

**Overview**

We are seeking experienced machine operators for the fabrication department at a growing manufacturing company. You will run sheets of steel through the machine for production. You will need to select the appropriate program on the machine, run the sheets, and check quality along the way to ensure accuracy. The material handler will load the sheets into the machine with a forklift. Operators are responsible for ensuring the machine stays running and produces quality parts. The shift will require training on first shift for about 3 months and then will transition to a mid-day/second shift. Steel toed shoes are required.

+ 3+ Years Machine Operating & Production Experience

+ Computer Use

+ Blueprints

+ Micrometers & Calipers

+ Hand and Power Tools

+ Mechanically Inclined

**Work Environment**

Large manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery, manufacturing plant. Typical work hours are Monday through Thursday with overtime on Fridays. Work hours may change at Management's discretion with prior notice.

**1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (includes overtime)**
