  • Manage contractor work permits, designated construction and storage areas, and utility outages.
  • Coordinate with contractors to maintain a complete set of as-built project drawings.
  • Document and provide guidance on the receipt, storage, and release of client-procured equipment and material.
  • Verify equipment and material deliveries.
  • Monitor, verify, and control costs for TM-based projects.

Job Title: Construction Professional (Expert)

Job Description

The Construction Manager (CM) will be responsible for managing contractor safety in compliance with client requirements and OSHA regulations. For projects with a full-time Safety Manager (SM), this responsibility will be shared between the CM and SM. The CM will coordinate with contractor supervision and, if needed, direct contractor work tasks to expedite the schedule efficiently. They will manage the interface between contractors, understand the project schedule, and assess job progress. The CM must attain knowledge of design intent, process flows, and process equipment functions pertaining to the scope of work. Understanding key contract provisions, managing and documenting contract communications, change orders, and other relevant documentation is essential. The CM will participate in and conduct weekly construction progress meetings, issue meeting minutes, and clarify contractor RFIs with assistance from the project team. Observing installed work to confirm contractor adherence to quality requirements and technical standards is necessary. The CM will interface with the project team leads to resolve and manage quality issues, coordinate with the PM and project controls lead on potential change orders, and ensure timely resolution. Weekly construction reports and other requested reports must be prepared. The CM will act as a liaison with the client site manager or designated site representative, ensuring construction activities are coordinated with site operations. This includes managing contractor work permits in operating areas, designated construction and storage areas, utility outages, and other critical activities. Coordination with contractors to maintain a complete set of as-built project drawings and other relevant documentation is required. The CM will document and provide guidance on the receipt, storage, and release of client-procured equipment and material, verify equipment and material deliveries, and monitor, verify, and control costs for TM-based projects.
