**Job Summary**

The University of Michigan Medical School Office of Faculty Affairs is seeking a Program Manager to partner with internal and external stakeholders to provide superior operational and analytical management of the Michigan Medicine Faculty Compensation program. This position will report to the Director of Faculty Compensation, Analytics, and Compliance in the Office of Faculty Affairs and will support our department partners and leaders across a variety of important workflows and topic areas.

**The responsibilities of the Program Manager include but are not limited to:**

Under the direction of the Director, provide leadership across the faculty compensation program including:

Under the direction of the Director, provide leadership across the faculty compliance program including:

Provide management of the Medical School Faculty Compensation Committee and Michigan Medicine Faculty Workforce Planning Committee by developing meeting materials in consultation with the committee chairs. This will include conducting routine analysis to share during committee meetings, supporting the review and analysis of all committee governance matters, providing project management support, and working closely with Health Information Technology Services (HITS) on software enhancements.

Under general supervision, this position will be responsible for the management, performance, and completion of moderate to complex projects, including assembling project team(s), assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources, and developing a project schedule to ensure timely completion. Must be able to quickly become familiar with project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. Communicate with senior leaders within Faculty Affairs and other functional areas regarding status of specific projects.

Support the development of internal resources and processes for faculty lifecycle workflows, compensation, and data management

Support ad hoc and organized meetings, committees and workflows

**Required Qualifications***

+ Minimum of seven years of professional experience.

+ Strong program management and operations skills as evidenced by a track record of managing large and complex programs and administrative operations, effectively keeping stakeholders engaged and apprised, managing multiple deadlines and priorities at one time, and effectively working across a large number of customers.

+ Demonstrated track record of positive team leadership, collaboration, and customer service responsiveness, and applying knowledge and analyses strategically and pro-actively.

+ A positive growth-oriented approach and attitude characterized by a willingness to acquire new skills, continuously improve, apply creativity, build and leverage a network of collaborators, and possess an expertise in time management and complex coordination.

**Desired Qualifications***

+ Preferred candidates will have ten plus years of experience managing complex projects and operational processes.

+ They will have direct experience managing compensation within an academic medical center and familiarity will best practices in compensation administration and faculty affairs and a bachelor?s or master?s degree in a related field.

+ They will have direct experience accessing, interpreting, and analyzing UM HR data (particularly faculty appointment and compensation data), and advanced analytical skills and extensive experience working with large/complex data sets and synthesizing data into insightful summaries and recommendations.
