  • Document all modifications made to equipment.
  • Maintain file of all work done on equipment.
  • Seek methods to reduce maintenance costs.
  • Clean debris and lubricant from parts, work area, and equipment.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 5+ years of general maintenance/mechanical experience including electrical, hydraulic, metal fabrication/welding experience.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Knowledge of P&I's, and budgets.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship or future sponsorship.

Preferred

  • Ability to use typical hand and mechanics tools and inspection gages.
  • Ability to work from drawings, verbal instructions, or sketches.
  • Ability to work safely with cleaners, lubricants, and other chemicals as needed.
  • Ability to work in an area with moderate noise (forklift traffic, conveyor system, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a confined area.
  • Ability to safely push, pull, bend, twist, sit, stand, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions and to hear at a level sufficient to communicate with staff.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with peers, customers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to maintain a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize and maintain adequate inventory of parts for equipment.
  • Ability to maintain safe housekeeping and organization in the facility and repair shop.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and proficiently in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to work a consistent work schedule and punctuality is required.
  • Ability to adhere to company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Ability and desire to work successfully in a small, family owned environment.

Recycle Minnesota, a sister company of Dick's Sanitation ("DSI") opened in Lakeville, MN in August of 2014. We offer a state of the art single stream recycling facility that processes mixed recyclable materials from residential and commercial customers as well as third party private companies. This facility supports our sustainability efforts by decreasing the transportation costs and our carbon foot print of delivering recyclables for processing.

We are currently seeking a full time **Facility Maintenance Manager** to join our team at our Recycle MN facility. The hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4 PM. In this role you will provide repairs and oversight along with coordinating maintenance staff to ensure overall maintenance of our recycling facility aligns with adequate uptime on all equipment to maximize processing of materials. Safety is #1 priority and you'll be a source to aid in identifying and resolving safety issues. Given the demand of the work, after hours and overtime and/or weekend will likely be required.

**PRIMARY DUTIES**

+ Keep recycling operations functional mechanically, maximize uptime.
