Baylor Heart Hospital Denton
Position: RN Wound Care – fulltime inpatient and clinic hybrid
Location: Baylor Heart Hospital Plano
2801 South Mayhill Road, Denton TX
Shift/Hours: FT Dayshift | Mon- Fri 8am-4:30pm | Clinic Hours 8am-1pm Wed & Fri (half days) | 30-35 hours per week.
*Opportunity to assist in other outpatient departments if interested on clinic half days
Patient Population: Wound Care, Negative Pressure therapy, compression wraps/TCC prep& removals. Venous, arterial, diabetic wounds, pressure ulcers, non-healing, traumatic, burns, radiation wounds, abdominal stomas and more.
Patient Ratios: 1:1 Patient rooms & wound center unit
Required Experience: Wound Care Certified; candidates MUST have two (2) years of recent, full time inpatient/acute care wound care experience.

Job Summary
As a Procedural Registered Nurse, you will work as a licensed professional and use the nursing practice model to oversee patient care by the healthcare team. Your responsibilities will involve assessing patients, identifying nursing diagnoses for health issues, and developing personalized care plans. You will also assess patient responses regularly. Your contributions will help patients navigate healthcare safely by understanding their needs and the healthcare system. This will prevent complications and delays. Delegating tasks to other staff will be based on Texas nursing laws, patient conditions, and staff skills.
