Responsibilities

  • Supports and demonstrates IMA’s core values
  • Leads strategic consultation and planning efforts for client benefit programs
  • Ensures programs and plan design are in alignment with all applicable regulatory requirements
  • Utilizes advanced knowledge of actuarial concepts and underwriting practices to analyze claims data
  • Directs the service teams’ work assignments related to project management, claims escalation and resolution, and plan analysis/reporting
  • Develops strong carrier and vendor relationships
  • Researches current and emerging markets and products
  • Co-facilitates finalist and/or prospect meetings
  • Comprehensively develops and delivers prospect requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Actively serves as a resource for other agency benefits staff
  • Coordinates and manages the overall work and projects of assigned associates
  • Participates in the hiring process for direct reports and additional department hires
  • Serves as mentor and coach for account executives

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of similar or related experience
  • Advanced business acumen
  • Positive mindset and ability to optimize performance through collaboration
  • Advanced skills with MS Office Suite
  • Strong ability and commitment to excellence in communication
  • Attains and maintains Life and Health licensure

Preferred

  • 4-year degree in business or related discipline
